RA Students Participate in Summer Workshops

June 25th, 2015

Renaissance Academy learners had the opportunity this summer break to attend two workshops provided by the Purdue Polytechnic Institute in partnership with Renaissance Academy!

The first workshop, Communication Systems, attended from June 15-19, focused on exploring the application of the tools, materials and techniques used to design, produce, use and assess systems of communication. Learners worked on producing graphic and electronic media as they applied communication technologies.

The second workshop, Principles of Engineering, attended from June 22-26  focuses on applying engineering technological, scientific and mathematical principles to the design, production and operation of products, structures and systems. Learners performed hands-on activities related to specialized fields such as civil, mechanical, electrical and materials engineering. Learners were given the task of reconstructing a quad-copter with their own materials and handy work!
